Public Transportation

Light Rail
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) provides both bus and light rail service in and around Irving and Las Colinas. The Irving DART Rail Orange Line runs between the Irving Convention Center and the Las Colinas Urban Center Station, located near the shores of Lake Carolyn, making it possible for you to get to all of the best bars, restaurants, and entertainment that Las Colinas has to offer in between meetings. For a seamless visit, plan to use the light rail to get around Las Colinas. View the Orange Line schedule here.

Bus
DART’s dozens of bus routes run all through Irving and Las Colinas, so you can jump on and off anywhere it’s convenient. DART buses usually come every half hour during peak hours and provide transportation from the area's airports, making them a reliable choice when planning a trip. Make sure to look up route maps, fares, and other information about DART by visiting the DART website.

APT
The Las Colinas Area Personal Transit System (APT) is another excellent option to get around Las Colinas. With four passenger stations located around Las Colinas, this climate-controlled people-mover will take you to many popular destinations near the Irving Convention Center. Ride between the Urban Towers Station near the Dallas Marriott Hotel-Las Colinas, Bell Tower Station near the Omni Mandalay at Las Colinas, the Station at 600 Las Colinas Blvd. on the south end of Lake Carolyn, and the Urban Center Station where you can transfer to the DART Rail Orange Line light rail. Best of all, the APT is free.

Accessibility

Most traditional convention centers are built horizontally, often forcing attendees to move across long expanses to get from one setting to the next.  The vertical design of the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas puts elevators and escalators at the same point on every floor, allowing for visitors to easily orient themselves.

Curbside drop-off for wheelchairs and sidewalk curb cut-outs are located at each corner of the Convention Center perimeter. The 15-minute parking drop-off zones are located on Las Colinas Blvd and on Promenade Parkway. Push-button operated entry doors are at each entry point. More push-button entry buttons than required by law have been added to the building’s design to accommodate entry for all individuals.

Telephones, drinking fountains and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible. Large format digital signage is displayed throughout the building in case of an emergency as well as event information.
