Matt Cooper

Matt Cooper is the CEO of Skillshare, the world’s largest online learning community for creativity. Matt brings the perfect balance of operational excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit to his role as CEO, helping the company drive significant growth since joining in 2016 and expand globally, with teachers and students in almost every country.

Prior to Skillshare, Matt was the CEO of Visually, a freelancer-driven platform that developed visual content for some of the world’s best known brands. He was also an early executive at Upwork, the world’s largest freelance marketplace, where he ran the operations, enterprise and international teams. Today Matt sits on the Board of YunoJuno, an online freelancer management platform for local creative and tech professionals, and is an Advisor to PowerToFly, a marketplace for diversity candidates in tech. In 2022, Matt was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the New York region.
